  • Story

All people live within a framework of meaning that is shaped by their understanding of four stories they inhabit.

Explore the foundational narratives that shape us, and attend to the meaning-making stories and values that your group shares.

  • Setting

Place profoundly, unavoidably shapes the stories that unfold there—and, in turn, is shaped by those stories.

Attend to your built and natural environments—the places in which people interact among themselves and with their wider contexts.

  • System

System is where Story and Setting converge to form the distinct ways we arrange our lives.

Explore several key questions—about your commitments, communication patterns, decision-making processes, and rhythms of attention—that will help you develop a way of life that aligns your unique calling and context.

Here’s what previous trainees have SAID!

“These friends and collaborators in the Kingdom have pushed back the frontiers of apathy and complacency in Western Christianity and are thought leaders and doers in our time. So many have a harsh critique of the way things are—kicking over sandcastles, so few have the bravery to build new ones. My wife and I will be forever grateful for what they gave us, a sense of true authentic community—one that lasts to this day.”

Mark Willis—Chicago, IL

“This remarkable week-long workshop synthesizes insight and praxis, personal growth within community, natural and built community development,
life together tools, and more in an experiential
hands-on environment—with a welcome lack of
insider jargon. This content and experience
will be very useful for anyone from any profession who’s interested in becoming part of the solution: holistically engaging life in fresh forms”

Kirk Ruch—Vancouver, BC

“The Christ-like spirit and the compelling mission vision of our friends have always walked a few steps ahead of us—like a finger pointing us in the direction of the vision of God and like a friend on a journey. . . whose gracious encouragement gives us strength along the way.
